Brook Hollow Winery to
Offer Free Wedding to Disabled Veteran
Columbia, NJ –Brook Hollow Winery in Columbia, NJ, a
member of the Garden State Wine Growers Association, is making an offer
designed just for our wounded warriors. The winery, which recently opened a
brand new banquet center in Knowlton across the road from the winery, is
looking to honor one of these brave heroes that returned home disabled with an
all-expense paid wedding.
From now until Valentine’s Day 2018 when the
winner will be randomly drawn, disabled American veterans can apply online for
the chance to be selected for what Brook Hollow Winery is calling its “Warrior
Wedding”.
“We are proud of our service men and women who
have given so much for all of us to be able to live free in the United States
of America, the most incredible country in the world. Some of these brave men
and women came back from their deployments disabled, while others gave the
ultimate sacrifice of their life. Brook Hollow Winery would like to honor one
of these brave heroes by providing them with a day they will remember for the
rest of their lives,” said Paul Ritter, owner of Brook Hollow Winery.
The contest is open to legal residents of the
United States who have served in the military and have “disabled veteran
status” meaning a veteran who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the
receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws
administered by the Secretary, or a person who was discharged or released from
active duty because of a service-connected disability and are of legal age to
be married in the state of New Jersey.
Brook Hollow Winery is working with a number of
partners to make this a very special day for the veteran selected. Local
establishments, including Blairstown Museum for trolley photos; The Cozy Cabin
for cupcakes; the Rosemary Inn for one free night stay; Q Classic Catering;
Feather Artistry photography and Lunden Fog & Son musical entertainment,
are among the businesses that have already signed on the participate.
