Once again New Jersey wineries shined in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, one of the most prestigious in the country. This year’s competition drew a record 7,164 entries from wine regions throughout the U.S. Valenzano Winery of Shamong took home a “Best in Class” in the Red Native Hybrid Blends for their 2014 Old Indian Mills Blend. The Shamong-based winery also won a Gold Medal for their NV Shamong White and 2013 Malbec, and Silver Medals for their 2013 Sangiovese and Zinfandel and a Bronze for their 2014 Vidal Blanc.

Vineyards of Ringoes won a Double Gold Medal for their 2013 New Jersey
Chardonnay.
Heritage Vineyard of Mullica Hill scored a Gold Medal for their 2014 Outer Coastal Plain (OCP) Chardonnay. Old York Cellars of Ringoes won a Silver Medal for the NV New Jersey Blackberry wine.
Bellview Winery of Landisville took home a Gold Medal with their 2013 OCP Cab Franc and Silver Medals for the 2013 OCP Chambourcin, 2014 OCP Vidal Blanc and Bronze Medals for the 2013 OCPl Merlot, 2014 OCP Traminette, and 2013 OCP Chardonnay.
Sharrott Winery of Blue Anchor scored a Silver Medal for the NV OCP Tango and Bronze Medals for its 2013 OCP Cabernet Sauvignon, 2014 OCP Chardonnay, NV OCP Port Wicked and 2014 OCP Chardonnay. 4JGs Winery of Colts Neck won a Bronze medal for the 2014 New Jersey White Vinifera “Celebration.” Alba Vineyard of Finesville earned a Double Gold for the 2012 Warren Hills Alba Estate Chambourcin and a Bronze medal for the 2014 Warren Hills Alba Estate Chardonnay.
