The Garden State Wine Growers Association is grateful for the loyal support of all our customers that visit our wineries statewide. The health and well-being of our patrons is of paramount importance to us. We as an Association have issued Best Practices Guidelines to our wineries to supplement the guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and local and state health and sanitation guidelines to help further control the spread of COVID-19.
Statewide, wineries, like other institutions, will be exercising extra care to ensure customer safety. This includes, but is not limited to, paying special attention to disinfecting wine serving surfaces and common areas and observing general food handling safety rules.
Wineries have also been advised to send staff home if they suspect any illness, to instruct staff to frequently wash their hands with soap and hot water before and after handling customer wares, and to sanitize common surface areas.
Our wineries are open this weekend and plan to remain open. That said, we will comply with any directions of County, State, and Federal Government officials in the future that might necessitate closure for some limited period of time. In the meanwhile, we encourage you to be safe and responsible while continuing to live your life as normally as possible which, we hope, includes continuing to support small businesses and local agriculture. Patrons should check social media and websites of individual wineries before visiting to make sure that they are open and for updates to any event changes or tasting room schedule changes.
We will continue to monitor the situation and offer guidance. Thank you as always for support and we look forward to welcoming you to our wineries.
