While the pandemic may alter travel schedules this year in New Jersey preventing many from visiting mom, grandma and other family members on Mother’s Day, you can still toast them with NJ wine. You can pick up wines this week curbside at your favorite NJ winery or have them shipped directly to your loved one’s home in the state as part of the Garden State Wine Growers Association’s annual “Mother’s Day Wine Trail Weekend,” May 9-10 in New Jersey.
The annual Wine Trail Weekend is different this year due to COVID-19. Winery tasting rooms are closed and there are no special events. However, you can take your own curbside tour in your region and pick up wines for your own Mother’s Day table or to drop off as gifts. You can also ship wines directly so you can do a virtual toast with mom.
Many wineries are offering special packages, dinners to go, gift cards and other promotional offers. To find out what wineries in your region are doing visit the GSWGA blog https://www.newjerseywines.com/blog/
A reminder to contact wineries and/or check their social media channels to see updated schedules, deals and virtual tasting events. Remember, if you need to enter a winery to carry out wine, you must wear a face covering.
Below is a schedule of what each winery in New Jersey is doing in regards to sales, including whether they are shipping wines directly to the home from May 6-10.
Restaurants that serve as winery outlet partners that are handling take-out orders can also process wine sales but they have to be made at purchase and not COD.
Mercer County
Hopewell Valley Vineyards, Pennington – The winery will be open for purchases only Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 3 pm. Friday from 11 am – 7pm and Saturday and Sunday hours are 3-7 pm. Discount – We offer 15% discount for purchases of 6 bottles or more online or at HVV.

Dahlia Florals creates some of the most beautiful arrangements in the state, and we are proud to partner with them to offer you two stunning arrangements for Mother’s Day. We have a $50 Spring Mix or $70 Pink Rose bouquet available, presented in a glass vase wrapped in green leaf. The bouquets can be purchased through and picked up (contactless) at the winery. Even more conveniently, we are offering complimentary delivery of the bouquets with a minimum wine purchase of $50 to any address within a 45 minute drive from the winery.
