The results from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest domestic United States wine competition is in and New Jersey wineries have once again had a tremendous showing.
The 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition included 6800 wines from over 1132 wineries representing North American wine regions including America, Canada, and Mexico.
Heading the list of New Jersey medalists is Bellview Winery in Landisville, which took home a Best of Class award for its 2017 Gruner Veltliner. Bellview Winery also earned two bronze and three silver medals.
Sharrott Winery in Hammonton earned Double Gold for their 2016 Reserved Chardonnay and ten other medals, including three golds.
All told, New Jersey wineries took home 28 medals including 2 Best of Class, 1 Double Gold, 3 Gold, 13 Silver and 9 Bronze medals
