Our wines are grown sustainably and vinified classically from select European vines we began planting in 2005. We focus on Austrian and Northern Italian varieties in our vineyard, which is dry-farmed and lies on the southwest-facing slope of Mount Salem, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, near the village of Pittstown. At 700 feet above sea level our soil is deep, well-drained and studded with deposits of glacial gravel, which all contribute to our wines’ distinctive terroir. We are best known for our estate-grown Austrian reds – Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and St. Laurent – and our flagship Austrian white, Grüner Veltliner; we also source grapes from a select group of New Jersey growers. We produce wines in very limited quantities, and offer them first to subscribers who reserve them by the case before they are bottled. Upon release, the wines are available by the bottle or case.
