Approaching 100 years of agriculture production, Summit City Farms began in 1922 by Italian immigrants Gaetano and Pasqueta DeEugenio. Starting with 7.5 acres at the winery location, many fruits and vegetables were grown. In the 1950s, Gaetano’s sons, Anthony, Joseph, and Lewis, expanded the farm to 150 acres. Lewis Jr. further expanded in the 1990s to 500 acres of predominantly fruit production. Equestrian facilities were added and Anthony Yula, son in law joined the farm. A winery was planned and opened in May 2014. Wines under the Summit City label include: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Traminette, Concord, Niagara, Cabernet Sauvgnon, Syrah and Sangiovese. Fruit wines include: apple, peach, nectarine, and mango, among others.
The tasting room displays authentic artifacts of Glassboro and the South Jersey region. Summit City Farms and Winery welcomes all to its facilities in the historic Ridge section of Glassboro.
